Cons:
Our flight was delayed, landing us about 30 minutes after Dollar closed for the night. Before our flight departed, I called the Dollar location directly to inform them. If they wouldn’t be open, I was going to cancel my reservation and book with someone else who would still be there. They assured me it wouldn’t be an issue, and took down my flight information. As soon as we landed, I called again, and nobody answered. We waited for the bus to show, but it never did. They closed at their regular time, and left us stranded. Then, because we didn’t cancel before the time we were supposed to arrive, they refused to refund the money since we prepaid. I would not rent with Dollar again.2.0 Poor

Despite the long line and slow processing of customer, Rental Agent, Renee, did a great job turning-around an otherwise unpleasant experience. She apologized for the long wait, and upon hearing how long I had been waiting, she offered to compensate me with an upgraded vehicle, even though she realized I would never make it to my destination on-time, at that point. Renee was pleasant and helpful.Cons:
Upon arrival at the Alamo/National location, the line for service was extremely long, only the National desk was open apparently servicing both Alamo and National rentals, and the speed at which the rental agents were processing customers was very slow. Some folks, especially those that had more than one person in their party, chose to leave one person in line while they tried the kiosk to automate processing of their reservation; however, the kiosk was apparently hit or miss, as some folks were able to successfully process their rental reservation, while others had to join back in line because the kiosk would eventually error and not finalize their reservation. I arrived at the Alamo rental location about 9:55am, expecting to be in-out within 5-10 mins, leaving plenty of time for the 40 minute drive that lay ahead of me to get to my destination on-time by 11am. As I was alone, I did not dare step out of line to try one of the hit/miss kiosks as others had tried. And, after over 30 minutes waiting in line, it wasn't until 10:35am when I rental agent, Renee, was finally able to wait on me and process my reservation. I arrived at my destination late due to the delay at the Alamo/National rental location, but please note about Renee in the "What did I like?" section, and how she tried to turn my experience around.7.2 Good

I had already been quoted a price, but then when they either had a smaller size or larger, and I really needed something as big as a Tahoe, they charged me $20 per day extra for a ford expedition! this seemed unfair, since it was not my fault they did not have a Tahoe at the Avis site. I wish there were a sign that indicated where it was safe to ride over the spikes. We ended up parking outside of the rental location so that we didn't ruin our car. It was also confusing which care rental location to use, because the location on Google Maps no longer exists -- it's now an Amazon location and there's no entrance to the public -- and there were two different car rental locations that listed "Payless" on their signs, so we wasted time driving around until we made some sense of the confusing issues, and we eventually picked one location to see whether it would work out, without knowing for sure that I was in the right place until I actually got inside. Two different people driving around the airport asked me where to find the Payless pickup booth when I still had no idea, so it seems like the setup is a bit confusing in general. PLEASE fix your Google Maps entry, and PLEASE update your signs to make it clear (1) where to go for Payless pickups and (2) where to drive without destroying your car's tires.4.4 Mediocre

A shuttle driver finally showed up and I walked outside and asked if I could drop the car off with him, explaining that the person behind the counter just disappeared.
