We booked one day before departure. Prices prior were exorbitant circa £600-1000 which was ridiculous.. We even emailed Leasys direct questioning high rental quotes. Clear profiteering by all companies. All should just have offered competitive prices beforehand. We have used Leasys(Drivallia) previously. Excellent service, collection and return. Will continue to book with them but only if prices are reasonable. We would forgo a car rental if prices are not competitive. Big thank you to Qeebo for the price finally achieved. Can’t fault Leasys service it was excellent. Thank you

Brilliant service and great cars.

Cons:

£240 for the rental,great, then they remind me that all Spanish drivers are crazy so it’s best to get their top up insurance at £150 extra!! I know they all do it but I was surprised by the price. Very sour feeling. Get it elsewhere £55 a year! Just check it’s acceptable to the hire firm.

DO NOT BOOK WITH SIXT! I searched for “Free Cancellations” and it showed me a car that was not free to cancel. I didn’t notice that it showed me an incorrect result and it locked me into an expensive car. I entered my flight details prior to our flight to Mallorca, on the day of the flight we were told we would be delayed - I checked my online booking and saw that my flight details were still there (so I felt safe that Sixt would know we were going to be late). Upon arrival the lady said our car was given since we weren’t here on time. We were 5 hours late I admit but my booking was prepaid! When I told her my flight details were entered she said they were not there. On the spot, I looked as well and mysteriously they were gone. I’m absolutely sure I did not delete them (I was only viewing the details of my booking, and not editing). Anyways she said they were almost all out of cars so I would have to upgrade and pay the difference. This ended up being DOUBLE the cost of my original booking. Stranded on Mallorca we had no choice. But NEVER AGAIN! Granted the lady was nice and empathetic but if I have a booking for a car and it’s PREPAID my car (or some car of the same level) should be held for me for the duration of my booking for whenever I’m there to collect. I often need a rental car and this is the first and last time I’ll use Sixt. I have used other companies in the past and have never had a problems like this. It was a horrible way to start a vacation. This is the first and last time I’ll book with Sixt.

Quick and easy pickup. Including excellent response to request to change to a bigger vehicle due to passengers with "too much luggage." And a few days later, could downsize vehicle after getting rid of the overbaggaged passengers. And Hertz made no hard sell for unwanted and overpriced insurance. Absolutely outstanding.

They charged me 80 Euros for a minor scratch that I’m certain I didn’t make. It’s small enough that I missed it in the initial inspection but somehow the guy found it easily upon return. They know the charge is small enough that the insurance will cover it or the customer won’t pursue. It’s a great scam.

Avis has franchise network in Palma. Franchises are operating under the name of Avis, but fiscally separate entities/companies. Avis cars and customer service are separate between original Avis (airport) and franchises (city center). So be careful where you rent your car. Office in the Palma city center is franchise, meaning all issues to be solved only there, no car exchange or reservation changes between Palma center office and airport. Working hours of Palma city center office 9-12 in the morning. Pick up to be done between those hours. If you delay, no car for you. Palma central office is very unfriendly and do not stand for the customer. This is literally what they told me, after my flight was delayed: "Even if you called in advance to mention delay, we would not keep your reservation". They just offered to return money, but no car would be arranged. Very pity. Caused a lot of troubles and additional expenses. Although all this nasty situation happened in the city center, office in Palma airport had great customer service, willing to help solve issue. At the end, I've got the car, but will never again rent a car by Avis in Palma.

O booked via a 3rd party for the rental and thinking it was Avis, a big company, it should be easy. We arrived at the pickup area for the shuttle busses according to the directions on the contract, and no Avis bus to be seen. Asked a few drivers and they had not heard of Avis. I called the number provided and it went to a different 3rd party company. I would recommend that this is made clear in the contact that the car did not come from Avis directly and to update the instructions.

One annoying problem: We picked up the car and the gas gauge showed just under 1/4 full. We stopped to get gas and it only took a little. Now knowing that the gas gauge was broken, we stopped rather frequently to fill up in fear that we’d run out of fuel….. very inconvenient. This should have been checked before we be picked up the car.

They’re trying to charge me for damage under the car. I never checked under the car before accepting the vehicle. I under no circumstance damaged the under carriage. Watch out these guys will try and defraud you.

Pros:

Friendly staff; flight arrived early and I was able to pick the car up sooner than the booking time. The car had quite high mileage, and a few scrapes and bumps but performance wise I didn't experience any problems.

Cons:

I thought the fuel charge and taxes were a little high, but overall the rental was good value for money.

Once we found the shuttle bus, things went smoother. But the labelling on the car rental online voucher never once mentioned the van labelling, or anything. Only the printed voucher had that, which was stuffed in a suitcase. There was a parking lot FULL of busses and very difficult to find the right one. Phone calls went unanswered to the number we had on the voucher. Not a good start. The car we were given had obvious door damage where it had been broken into with a crow bar before, and was never properly repaired. It wasn't good to drive in the rain as water came through the gap in the door. Nearly empty on windshield wiper fluid, and engine mounts that were loose causing some strange shimmys. Rental checkout had the usual pushy scare tactics for insurance, and some weird requirements that were hurting other customers at other counters. In general, I won't rent from them again.

I called and texted the company during open hours to see if they can deliver it to my hotel or give me directions but no one picked up or returned the text message. The agent charged me 15 Euros per day extra for a GPS system (too expensive) There was something wrong with the steering wheel, forcing me to readjust position frequently while driving because car would suddenly swere right or left for no apparent reason On returning the care, the agent said I'd be sent a final report explaining any damages. When I did, the report noted that there were "moulding" on the right window. When I emailed back explaining that I did not notice any "moulding" and that even if there was, that wouldn't be my responsibility because molding does not result from driving but from prolonged exposure to moisture, my message was unanswered. The final adjustment on my credit card statement (which did not show up until several days later) showed an additional charge of $213.10, which would be presumably for the GPS and the full tank of gas as I returned the car empty. As noted, the agent said the GPS would cost 90 euros (15X6 days), and the gas would cost 83 euros. that's a total of 173 euros ($189.73) not $213. So either the company has fined me an additional $23 for the "moulding," or it used a very self-serving exchange rate.

I've been renting many cars in my life and this is absolutely the worst company on the planet and it's also a scam. Let's start from the end, after I dropped the car I received an email with two pictures of the front seat's floors with normal dust on it. They witholded Euro 30 from the gasoline deposit to vacuum it. Infact when collecting the car they charged Euro 86 for gasoline and they were supposed to return it at return if car was returned full. So they took the freedom to keep Euro 30 form my deposit for the gasoline to vacuum the car. Incredible. Anyway, they will pay for it, dearly. Also if you don't want insurance they charge you with a Euro 1400 deposit. Overall it is a scamming company. DONT GO THERE DON'T GO THERE NEVER USE THEM NEVER EVER!!!

We had an unpleasant experience renting a car from Wiber. We had made the reservation via Kayak.com, and it was fulfilled by RentalCars.com and eventually, Wiber. Contrary to the listing, this location is nowhere near the airport, and requires a shuttle. There are no signs for Wiber shuttle, and it was difficult to locate their distant pickup location, far outside the shuttle area adjacent to the airport. The shuttles arrive every 10 mins or so, but we had to wait for second shuttle as the first filled up instantly. The rental location is quite far, and it would have been much quicker to rent at a proper agency like Avis or Sixt located at the airport, or even at a small agency in town. Upon arrival, Wiber would not honor our reservations with the documents we had provided, requiring instead an international drivers license. They also would not accept the 3rd party insurance we had purchased. We had no such problem renting vehicles with large and small agencies in Barcelona, Madrid and Vejer. When we finally got our car, it was not a convertible as advertised, but instead just a sunroof. When I insisted with the staff that they arent honoring the terms of our reservation, they said that Kayak.com reservations were not their responsibility. The staff was confrontational and rude, both at pickup and return. I rented the same fiat 500 at Avis at Jerez a few days later, and paid for a standard, non-convertible model. I had no such problems, and it came with the same sunroof.

the car was clean and comfortable. there was a long wait for an associate at pick up and then a wait for a car to be ready. anna at the pick up desk was friendly and helpful. at drop off we were initially told that we would incur extra charges because the gas tank was not full and we were late. neither of these things were true but we had to go back and forth and pull up receipts and emails to argue our case. silly.

You have to shuttle to the car rental place, which is not too far but not as convenient as some of the other companies that are right at the airport. The car tire blew up 20 min into my drive. They sent roadside assistance and 3 hours later I had another car. But then they said it was my fault because I signed off on the car being in good condition, which was true. The mechanic that picked me up said the tire was loose, which was impossible to see. The check tire pressure light did come on for a few seconds when I started driving, but went off so quickly I disregarded it. The cost was $290. I talked to 3 people that said I needed to pay it but then talked to a guy named Roy who was awesome and got all charges dropped for me. I was really mad until I met Roy.

Pros:

The staff was very friendly and the car was mostly in good shape.

Cons:

There was some trash left in the car and the line to get to an agent took forever.

Pros:

Car was a Citroën C4. Nice roomy car to drive. Good site lines. Good fuel economy.

Cons:

I was charged many add one that I told the budget attendant I did not want, repeatedly. I had to return before car pick up and demand they take the extra charges off, which they did. Would not use Budget Mallorca again basedo on my experience.

The staff at budget were so unbelievably rude. It was an awful experience collecting the car from them. When we did collect the car, it was not what I had ordered as we received a 3 door Fiat 500e and I had clearly selected a 5 door car. The car had a flat tire that we had to get pumped up, which was extremely dangerous. I have images to prove that we had to take it straight to a mechanic to get air in the tire to be safe to drive. Overall very disappointed and I would never book through Budget again.

First shuttle didn’t accept me because I didn’t load any luggage in the trunk. Passengers with heavy luggage arriving after me got priority at transfer. I waited 25 min in the burning sun (no place to hide if one wants to keep his position in the line) in order to mount the second shuttle. Car had 12 noted scratches and I found 5 more. The entire process for picking up the car was more than 1h.

The office was closed when we arrived for our pickup time. We were forced to walk up the street to try and find a new rental car as where we were staying was 50 minutes away. This budget is only open 9-12pm apparently so if your flight lands any other time, do not book! This was not communicated to us AT ALL in advance of the trip.

Hard to find the location to pickup the car in airport or to return. They didn’t not have a staff member check the car with us at pick up. Then claimed two small scratches and charged us $650.

Pros:

Everything was really simple and easy from pick-up to drop-off. I would definitely use them again especially because they have the most affordable rates! Really happy with everything.

Cons:

Absolutely no complaints. Everything was perfect!
