Driving in College Park was a wide open. It was a lot of distance between the traffic signals; so you could make up time if you were running tardy. The lanes were not cluttered with a lot of vehicles and the drive to and from the rental car was full of gas stations. You could see planes right above your head. The kids were excited about the closeness of the view of the airplanes.

Karen at the customer service desk was a true GEM & PLEASURE assisting me. She gave me information on what cars would be best on gas mileage. Based on my travel plans. When I first arrived at the desk. She greeted me with a smile, and some of the best customer service. I have encountered in a very long time. Even while choosing a vehicle the total staff. Went over and above & out their way. To ensure I was taken care of, and satisfied with my experience. Not to mentionthe drop off of the car was just as easy and great.

We had a late arrival into ATL, and when we arrived at the car rental facility, the Alamo counter was closed. They had kiosks available but they ended up not working. There were signs at the counter saying to go to their nearest partner for assistance, but it was not clear. Finally, we ended up at the Enterprise counter and were helped from there. Once we got assistance, everything was fine - service at the counter was great, same with drop off but it was confusing upon arrival and took a lot longer than needed.

Had to file an incident report for a dent in the rear bumper that was already there when I got the car, mainly because the Hertz employees at the Atlanta Hartsfield airport office did not take photos to document the current state of the car before my rental started. Based on the comments from the other Hertz office I returned my car to, this is a common occurrence. On top of that, the rental paperwork stated that the car had a full tank of gas, when in fact it only had been filled up to 3/4. This is not the first time this has happened with a Hertz car rental for me. When I complained about this at the exit checkpoint at the airport, the Hertz employee “fixed” it for me and updated the paperwork to reflect a tank 80% full (note that 3/4 is 75% and not 80%), but at that point I was tired and ready to go home, so I took it. All in all, employees need to be better trained, especially in cases where customers might get to pay for their mistakes. In the case of the gas tank, I left there with a feeling this was done on purpose to drive profits up. This is such a bad feeling to have about a company.

Beware of this scam very bad experience. This place is all about getting your money and more money than you agreed to when you rented the car.. I chose the car that said suppliers choice one way from Atlanta airport to Tallahassee Florida picking up at 11 o’clock at night and it was cold and they insisted that I take an electric Chevy bolt which has virtually no range. It does not have access to fast charging units like a Tesla all the way to Tallahassee Florida. It was a nightmare. I argued with the girl at the front desk telling her to give me a gasoline powered car, she wanted over $100 extra for the upgrade. My rental was $50 and for gasoline powered car she wanted $197 and if I didn’t pay the difference I had to take the electric car so beware of the scam never rent a car that does not have a charging network especially when it’s cold at night. The range was virtually nothing and I was constantly spending my whole night sitting at chargers, trying to get chargers synchronized to be able to pay for the service. It was just a big nightmare and I spent 30 minutes arguing with this girl begging for her to put me in a gasoline powered car and I have rented hundreds of cars with Hertz before but now I have different thoughts about the company electric cars should never be sent on a one-way rental because most people do not know how to charge an electric vehicle and they have range anxiety, especially on a car that will not even go as far as you’re going so overall a bad rental experience probably one of the worst that I’ve ever had so beware of the scam because they will get you and it was too late for me to rent anywhere else so I was pretty much screwed but I brought that car to Tallahassee. They have no clue what to do with an electric car but I was hell-bent on getting my car at the price I reserved it at , so shame on Hertz Car Rental you should not treat customers like this. You did it to a friend of mine. Also about six months ago and it was a terrible experience for her. Also, I left bad reviews everywhere I could. I was so mad on the way home that I had nothing to do while I was sitting at charging stations other than leave bad reviews for Hertz.

My experience was excellent. The staff at Hertz Atlanta was friendly and made getting a rental car easy. We made the reservation. Hertz kept us informed. We got to the airport and the agent waited on us. She told us how to get to where the rental car was. We arrived and the lady said, pick any vehicle in row 4! We picked it and drove away! The vehicle was clean, it fit 4 or 5 people and their luggage easily. The FORD Edge was easy to drive. We returned and the man guided us to a row, We jumped out, got our bags and made our way to the airport. Then, by the time I was in line waiting to go through TSA, I had my rental car receipt. Thank you Hertz Atlanta for an excellent experience during the Thanksgiving holidays.

I was sold additional, unnecessary items without my knowledge when renting. I was not asked, and they were included in the bill. Also when I got to my driving destination I saw that there was damage to the rear quarter, which was evidently there when I picked up the car. No one looked at the car with me at pickup. When I returned the car I mentioned the damage and was required to fill out a damage report. I refused to sign it since I did not cause the damage. I will never use Hertz in the future.

The staff was friendly at first until she stated the vehicle size I purchased weren't returned yet. Normally when a rental company is at fault you receive a updrade but no. I had the option to wait a hour to hour and half or more for full-size car to be returned. Then when I took the option to get smaller car my price difference wasn't given then. I was charged the peice for full size and she would send email to manager for them to try and give price credit. As of now I still haven't received email stating what that refund will be or when given.

The car smelled first like cigarettes and later as the day grew it smelled like weed. That smell didn't leave the vehicle the entire time I rented it.

It was very difficult to find the kiosk, and the wait was very long. The car was dirty inside and smelled VERY strongly of smoke. I bought air fresheners and rode with the windows down a lot. The tires were not balanced -- the passenger side were both over 36 and the driver side were at 28/27. I had to put air in the tires twice while I had it.

Directions to the drop off location in Chicago were a bit confusing. Google takes you to the front of a building, but the drop off is actually the parking garage behind the building. Other than that, my rental experience was great.

I made a reservation for 11 am since I had a tight schedule to adhere to. When I got there they had no cars available except for an upgrade, which. I had to take and pay more money for.

I like the vehicle.

Cons:

I still have not got my refund for my deposit of $300.00 4 days after I returned the vehicle, and budget airlines does not have anyone I can speak to on this. So at this point, after calling over 6 times and not being able to get anyone, I’m going to escalate the hell out of this until budget Car Rental refunds me my deposit of $300.00.

Pros:

nothing to like. horrible service, gross car, huge van instead of compact, so much wrong with this experience. at least we got a carseat we requested for the toddler, that's the only thing that didn't go absolutely wrong.

Cons:

I waited for 6.5 hours after my scheduled pickup time, exhausted after an international flight with my family (including a small child), and was eventually given a huge family van instead of the efficiency I requested. It had a gross muffin on the floor, and caramel or something gooey on the center console area. Staff was outrageously rude, and I wasn't the only one waiting for hours. It was such a nightmare. I've never had such a horrible experience with a rental car.

the did NOT have my car - or ANY car for that matter my reservation for for 7:00 - the sign at the counter said that no cars are available until 8:30 I asked them for a car, ANY car - nothing was available they "over" book online w cheap rates and then hope to figure it out later i ended up renting from AVIS - they had cars left

Pros:

flat daily rates were same but coverage rates were slightly better than hertz and alamo. negative review is purely for the pickup experience. drop off was flawless.

Cons:

Bait and switch bullshit which is never acceptable. Will be sending email to their corp office with details and some pictures.

The car was great, only complaint I have is with check in. The woman was not very helpful. I didn’t not get her name but she talked so fast that I could not even begin to understand or hear her. Seemed annoyed when I asked questions, just rushing through the whole thing. I am not one to leave bad reviews but it was pretty rude. I felt like I was a bother to her, it was a chaotic and confusing encounter. Other than that the car was very clean and nice. Easy and fast drop off.

Upon arrival was told they were out of the size car I had reserved. I was given the option of waiting an hour or more with the hope that a car in that class might be returned or pay almost twice as much to get an the only available vehicle without a wait. It felt like a classic bait and switch.

I reserved a compact car, but they were out and only had minivans left. I luckily did not have to drive it the whole time I was in the area. I did have to fill up half a tank. I will never use this rental car company again.

Tires were almost bald and provided very poor traction on wet roads. Tire pressure guages were not working properly When we dropped the car off, there was no attendent and the spaces were full to capacity. We were charged $40.00 for dropping the vehicle off early. No more Rentals with Europcar!

They charge an early dropoff fee. The women at the front desk booked me for 2 days without telling me and the said she couldn't do anything about it. I called them their customer service and they said I had to call priceline. I called priceline and they said I had to call back in 20 min since their system was down. I had to be at a meeting I didn't have time to wait the 20 min for their system to possibly be up and running to then deal with the cancellation. I will not be using priceline or europcar ever again. It's now a new company policy. We travel 2 days a week typically.
