A very good 4* hotel in one of the most beautiful areas in Cape Town. Ideal for anyone wanting to be close to both the city centre as well as the beaches. The hotel offers daily complimentary shuttle to the popular Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, babysitting facilities and a foreign exchange desk. There is an outdoor swimming pool right on the shoreline where guests can sunbathe and order drinks and food. The bar is very popular with guests as it offers incredible views of the sea. There is currently some moderate noise from 8am till 17:00 from a development close to the hotel and this is due to finish at the end of November 2007 (AHJ 11/06) Built into the rocks that fall into the ocean the hotel is a 6 storey building with the entrance level next to the road actually the 4th floor. There is a car park for guests on the roof top. The building is modern and similar to many of the stylish buildings in the area and painted white. Sitting on a cliff edge in the middle of Bantry Bay, the Ambassador hotel has unrivalled views of the sea. Just a 10 minute drive to Cape Town centre and 5 minutes from the popular Camps Bay beach and the city's many stunning beaches. The hotel is also as the foot of table mountain and a 10 minute drive to the cable car.
